Apple tv photo sharing not updating
In this tutorial, we’ll be covering setting up your Apple TV and desktop i Tunes so that you can create a screensaver with photos from your computer. Home Sharing was designed for personal sharing of i Tunes libraries over your home Wi-Fi network with other Home Sharing-devices that have been authorized with the same Apple ID.
You can turn Home Sharing on for up to five computers on the home network.
Want to show off video from that Yosemite trip last month, or look at some family photos?
The Photos app on the Apple TV can do all that and more. Before we get started, you'll first need to make sure you've activated i Cloud's photo services (either i Cloud Photo Library, i Cloud Photo Sharing, or My Photo Stream) on your i Phone, i Pad, Mac, or PC — otherwise, you won't see much.
The more images you add to i Cloud, the more memories the app can generate.
Here, you'll find any and all Albums you've created, along with Apple's "smart" albums for video, panoramas, and more.
I do see the photos as an option to use for the screen saver, so I know that the Apple TVs both see the i Tunes library.
But there is no option that I can find to just do a slideshow from them like there used to be.
After closing Photos and i Tunes, and then rebooting the Mac [and restarting the Apple TVs] the Photos option appeared again. This displays all your photos and videos in chronological upload order. You can use the Siri Remote to navigate your way through each image; select an image or video, and you can view it in full screen.Due to capacity, your Apple TV might display only your most recent photos.Follow these steps to delete older photos from My Photo Stream and put your most current photos on all of your devices: If you turned on i Cloud Photos, you can find your My Photo Stream photos from your other devices in the All Photos album.
